A slow draining toilet

We were called out to a customer in Cathcart in the Southside of Glasgow because they had a slow draining toilet.

They had tried everything they could themselves (including buying a toilet specific plunger) but with now luck.

As always, we do not charge a call out fee and we turned up at the address exactly on the time that the customer had requested.  We did a few test flushes to inspect the problem and quickly found the problem.

It was a downstairs/under the stairs toilet and the OSMA air admittance valve had stuck.  This was preventing air from getting into the system and helping the drainage of the toilet water.  It wasn’t blocking it, the water was eventually draining away, but it was still causing an issue.

We replaced the OSMA air admittance valve with a new one and carried out a series of checks to make sure that it was working a-okay.

We got the customer to check it all as well and before you know it – job done.

The customer had worried that they had a significant drainage problem but it turned out to be a simple fix that as a one of Glasgow’s most recommended plumbers, we could spot quickly and fix easily.

If you think you have a broken toilet or a problem with the flush of your toilet then call on JSL Plumbing today.  We don’t charge a call out fee, all of our work is priced before we begin and we guarantee all of our work.
